The Cote d’Ivoire Government has declared the closure of schools, markets, and banks on Thursday (today) ahead of the national team’s match clash against Nigeria's Super Eagle.

The move is to ensure massive support for the Elephants against the Super Eagles. Not funny tho, but it seems tension is already whining up in Abidjan ahead of the football match.

The encounter will kick-off at 5:00 pm local time in Abidjan and (6pm) in Nigeria local time. The Super Eagles held Equatorial Guinea to a 1-1 draw in their opening AFCON 2023 MATCH. However Ivory Coast, which is the hosts tournament, started their campaign on a winning note, defeating Guinea-Bissau 2-0.
