Super Eagles Striker, Victor Osimhen has revealed that Jose Peseiro’s side has two objectives against Ivory Coast National FC Team when both teams clash Today at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Osimhen said the objectives of Super Eagles when they face Ivory Coast are; to be more efficient in front of goal and not to miss the opportunities they created against the host.
The Super Eagles qualified to the game after playing a 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea in their Group A opener match last Sunday while Ivory Coast won 2-0 against Guinea-Bissau last Saturday.
"We told ourselves after our draw against Equatorial Guinea that the game against Côte D’Ivoire will not be easy because the fans will rally behind their team,” Osimhen told CAF’s official website.
However, recall that the Ivory Coast National Football Team Coach, Jean-Louis Gasset has issued a warning to Nigeria’s Super Eagles that his players knows their strength.
“Côte d’Ivoire has excellent players. Our objective will be to be more efficient in front of goal, not to miss the opportunities we create,” said Osimhen.
The match between Nigeria and Ivory Coast will be played at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé Today at 18hrs Nigeria time.
