Introducing Vecow ICS-1000 Expandable System with GPU Acceleration Driven by an Intel® Xeon® D-2800 processor rated for servers

A group of international embedded specialists called Vecow Co., Ltd. today unveiled a server-grade platform that is highly integrated, provides improved security, and is fueled by an Intel® Xeon® D-2800/D-2700 processor with GPU acceleration. Applications requiring AI capabilities at the edge, such as autonomous driving, robotic control, public security, medical imaging, private 5G networks, and any other Edge AI applications, can be made possible by the ICS-1000's support for discrete graphics.

The improved memory support of 8 DDR4 UDIMM/RDIMM 2933 MHz, up to 512GB, and a 16-core Intel® Xeon® D-2876NT CPU (Eddy Lake D HCC) are highlights of the Vecow ICS-1000. With the use of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe 4.0, SATA 3.0, USB 3.0, and 10GigE LAN, along with Intel® QuickAssist Technology, Vecow ICS-1000 allows workload-optimized performance in space-constrained and power-constrained settings at the Edge.
Scalability is provided by the Vecow ICS-1000, which supports up to six PCIe expansions. This allows it to accommodate dual NVIDIA or AMD 2-slot full-length graphics cards for AI and inferencing, with a maximum power budget of 1800W. It also allows for optional multiple PoE+ LAN/USB connections, which facilitates a smooth integration with a range of peripherals and sensors.

Two 10G SPF+ connections for high-speed fiber-optic data transfer, two USB 3.0 connectors for standard vision deployments, four COM RS-232/422/485 ports, and sixteen isolated DIO ports for robotic control are among the I/O interfaces on the front panel of the ICS-1000. With power input options ranging from DC 16V to 50V and AC 220V, the ICS-1000 gives users flexibility in choosing the best configuration for Edge AI solution deployments.

The Vecow ICS-1000 utilizes the capabilities of the Intel® Xeon® D processor to perform as a server-grade embedded computing system. In comparison to the previous generation of D-1800/1700 processor, it offers improved security features and increased speed, according to Jerry Chen, Product Manager of Vecow's Embedded Systems & Platform Division. Furthermore, Allxon's remote Out-of-Band (OOB) technology is supported by Vecow ICS-1000, giving our clients increased flexibility, efficiency, and security when controlling their Edge devices.

According to Joseph Huang, Sales Lead at Vecow, "We have worked closely with Intel® to provide our partners with cutting-edge solutions built for Edge environments." We are happy to announce that the Intel® Xeon® D-2876NT Processor (Eddy Lake D HCC) will soon get early access and future support. With networking, acceleration, and security features all integrated, the Vecow ICS-1000 is an example of an optimized system. We guarantee that the ICS-1000, which is based on Intel® technology, provides scalable, end-to-end solutions that can be tailored to meet customer requirements and lower their total cost of ownership (TCO).

With a discrete graphics server-grade Intel® Xeon® D-2800/D-2700 processor, a maximum power budget of 1800W, a flexible power input design with Software Ignition Control, and support for up to six PCIe expansions, the Vecow ICS-1000 is the perfect choice for a wide range of Edge AI applications, including autonomous driving, robotic control, medical imaging, public security, and private 5G networks.
